Quotes on the True Meaning of Giving

Good Morning All!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!  I also hope that our American friends survived Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and are prepared for Cyber Monday.

Wow!  Just writing that was a bit stressful.

The shopping season has descended upon us here in America, and it’s, well, it’s pretty insane!  So, while I hid away from the crazed consumers this weekend, I started thinking about just how far we’ve strayed from the true meaning of the holiday season.  Really… what happened to “Peace on Earth and good will towards men (and women)?”

How has the holiday season become more and more about shopping and less about GIVING  And I don’t mean giving things, but rather, giving ourselves, our kindness to others whom are less fortunate.  How have the holidays become so focused on shopping and not on service?  I’ve yet to answer these questions, at least with an answer that will fit within the confines of this newsletter, but I am offering a list of truly lovely quotes about GIVING that I hope you will all read, and reread as you navigate through this year’s holidays.

“It's not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” - Mother Teresa

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.” - Charles Dickens

“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.” - Winston Churchill

“I slept and I dreamed that life is all joy. I woke and I saw that life is all service. I served and I saw that service is joy.” - Kahlil Gibran

“What we spend, we lose. What we keep will be left for others. What we give away will be ours forever.” - David McGee

Honestly, I could have listed pages and pages of inspirational quotes of the true spirit of the holidays… the spirit of giving, and giving to those who need it most.  But I will stop here for now.

I wish you all a wonderful week!

BREAKTHROUGH!

99% of life on Earth depends on this "Ultra-Food"... and yet, less than 1% of Human Beings eat it! According to NASA research, if this "ultra-food" disappeared from the planet, nearly all life would cease to exist. And yet, this super-food was not available to humans in its rawest, purest form. Until now... What I'm about to share with you is Mother Nature’s Original Super-food. And when you ingest it, this ultra-food "triggers" your body to create trillions of healthy new cells! It's an "ultra-food" that you may have never heard of, but it's been around since the beginning of life on Earth. Up until recently, this ultra-food was simply not available for human consumption in its rawest, purest form. And that's too bad… Because just one dose contains hundreds of nutrients, vitamins and over 92 trace minerals. And because of the size of this "ultra-food" (it's about two microns, this is four times smaller than...

The Lazarus Cure

One day my friend Jake hopped onto his bicycle and, like he had done many times before, my good friend and "weekend warrior" entered himself into a long-distance racing event.  The event was to last seven days. But Jake  never  made it to the end of the first day.  He suffered a  massive heart attack  and died before reaching the hospital.  He was 63 years of age.  When I heard the news I was as shocked as anyone.  I am no stranger to death, but when someone with vitality is suddenly snatched away like this it is a sombre reminder that no-one is immune to the laws of biology, and that  we take our fate in our hands every single day that we take our health for granted.   I do not know what killed Jake that day. Many factors might have contributed. Stress, diet, high blood pressure coupled with poor medical intervention, or none at all... Who knows? But I can say two things with some degree of certainty. ...
